About	Fort Snelling State Park covers nearly 3,000 acres where you can benefit from the magnificent outdoors. It provides 12 miles of groomed and tracked ski trails, 6 miles of trail lined for various uses, and dog showboating and skijoring on 7 miles of trail is allowed. The park provides extensive biking and skiing trails that connect with Minnehaha park and the national wildlife refuge in the Minnesota valley. Tourists can get a strong knowledge about the park and its history and resources. Trails also provide visitants to climb up to the historic Fort Snelling in the 1820s to view military life. You can also enjoy a golf course with nine holes, picnic areas show, and bird watching. Fort Snelling State Park is an excellent place to get outside to enjoy that Minnesota winter fresh air.
