About | March Field Air Museum s, a non-profit educational organization, was founded in 1979. It is committed to promoting an understanding of humanity's reach to the skies and March Field. The museum contains more than 70 vintage aircraft, 89 historical aircraft, and exhibits related to military and civil aviation history and March Field. The museum's 2,000 square foot central display area was filled with photos, models, and paintings illustrating the past of military aviation. The museum displays one of the largest military aircraft collections on the West Coast. The museum was staffed by some 160 volunteers and nine full-time employees. It affords free admission for children four years old and under, members, active duty, active guard, and active reserves with a DOD ID card. Military Veterans can get free admission on selected days. |
