AboutHenry B. Plant Museum is housed in the south wing of Plant Hall on the University of Tampa's campus. The museum was built in 1933 and is a national historic landmark. The museum maintains certification distinction from the American Museums Alliance. Its mission is to explain the history and lifestyle of America's Gilded Age, Henry Bradley Plant's life, and significant contributions to Florida and Tampa Bay's growth. It was to understand the Tampa Bay Hotel for people of all ages at the century's change and the victorian lifestyles of America's Gilded Age. Throughout the year Museum provides a wide range of programs and events. It was carefully preserved to evoke the lifestyle of the late 19th century, with 14 exhibition rooms.
