| About | American Museum of Ceramic Art was founded on March 22, 2003, in Pomona, California. AMOCA is an organization of vision, devoted to the arts, they believe that visual art experiences communicated through professional artists, workshops or gallery exhibitions, promote cross-cultural understanding and provide new perspectives and insights which enrich their lives. The Museum permanent Collection consists of more than 7,000 pieces and includes Southern California dinnerware, Mettach ceramics, industrial ceramics, factory made ceramics, ancient vessels from the Americas, fine porcelains of Asia and Europe, and functional and sculptural contemporary ceramics. The mission of the AMOCA is to champion the art, creation, history, and technology of ceramics through exhibitions, outreach, collections, and studio programming. |
