The Natural Areas are home to many varieties of raptors including American Kestrels, Cooper's hawks, Turkey vultures, Red-tailed and Red-shouldered hawks. 2.1 miles from downtown to El Monte. This 400-acre sanctuary of riparian woodland, features four lakes, including many plants and animals native to wetland communities. School group tours are available by reservation.
