About	St. Patrick Church is one of the famous churches in Columbus. The church is a historic building and the second-oldest Catholic church building. Poor Irish immigrants established the St. Patrick Church. The church is over 150 years old and surrounded by old warehouses and a secular community college. St. Patrick Church was installed by the stained and colored glass windows. The original roof shingles were replaced with a well-braced slate roof. They are a growing and diverse parish, full of youthful, traditional, and, some say, evangelical parishioners. Their strength, however, in this hostile environment is largely a result of the steadfast efforts of the Dominican Fathers to carry on their tradition of strong Catholic preaching, instruction, worship, and devotion.
