About | Bolton Steam Museum is located in Bolton, Lancashire and contains one of the largest collections of stationary steam engines, which used to provide the power for the mills and factories of the textile industry during the Industrial Revolution. It displays approximately 30 steam engines and associated objects, some of which are 180 years old. Visitors can see the engines operating in steam on regular Open days when admission is free. Tours for pre-booked parties and groups can be arranged at a modest charge. |
