About	Herrington Country Park is one of the largest parks in Sunderland. It has cycle trails, family cycling with Sustrans, skateboarding, nordic walking, an adventure play area and model boat sailing in the lake. The park has a variety of sculptures that celebrate the heritage of the site. Herrington Country Park also features one of the largest open-air concert areas in the North East and a contemporary children's play park. The park has fitness equipment outdoors in green-space for all ages.
