About | Wallasey Town Hall is the civic centre established in 1914. The town hall, which is the headquarters of Wirral Council, is a Grade II listed building. Around a hundred thousand pounds were spent on additions and extensions in the 1960s. The building has also been called a gigantic biscuit box. Significant changes took first place in the few years of the 20th century. The town hall continued to work as the headquarters of the county borough of Wallasey and became the local seat of government of the expanded Wirral Council in 1974. Wallasey Town Hall can be hired for meeting rooms & event spaces, with the largest able to accommodate a maximum of 370 in a theatre style set up and up to 300 guests for a banquet. |
