About | George Alfred Haden Haden-Best designed Haden Hill House in 1878. The house is a refuge for World War II evacuees and a shelter throughout bombing raids in the last hundred years. The buildings were derelict and at risk of demolition in the 1970s. In the 1980s, substantial renovation of Haden Hill House was undertaken and also Haden Hall underwent a massive facelift to rebuild it to its former glory. Later it became the most popular tourist attraction in Sandwell. The Victorian house with period furnishings and a tea room offers events & activities. Haden Hill House offers free admission for visitors. |
