About | Fuk Tak Chi Museum has initially been a Fuk Tak Chi Temple. The temple was turned after as a museum was built in 1984. It was constructed by the Kwong Wai Siew migrants, namely Cantonese and Hakka. The temple was originally a shrine dedicated to the Chinese deity. It was renovated several times, such as in 1869, when it underwent a complete renovation. The museum has exhibits of early migrants. In the museum, you will be able to browse over 200 artefacts donated by residents in Chinatown, which will give you a glimpse into the way of life of the early immigrants. |
