About	Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple is a peaceful sanctuary situated in the middle of major roads, and it is also popularly known as St Michael Buddhist Temple. The temple is considered a perfect monastery under the Theravada culture with a stupa, buddha images, a bodhi tree, and a sima hall. The temple's main construction includes a two-storey building housing a hall, a three-storey office and library block, and the main shrine and a stupa at its rooftop. The temple highlights include a 45-ft reclining Buddha statue and a life-like effigy of King Devanampiyatissa displaying his reverence to Arahat Mahinda. Regular Dhamma events are conducted, and the temple is also a centre for Sri Lankans to celebrate their cultural activities.
