The Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park has a mythological element to it. Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park covers a total area of 1254.71 hectares, with 289 hectares developed thus far. The zoo now holds 32 mammalian species, 49 bird species, and seven reptile species.Most of the native faunal species' enclosures have been given mythological names based on their roles/relationships mentioned in ancient texts.
