| About | Chota Imambara was built in 1837-40 by Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah. The Chota Imambara is also known as the Husainabad Imambara. The entire place is beautifully decorated, like a stunning bride, and it is one of the significant sites to visit in Lucknow. The radially ribbed, sparkling gold-plated wide and smaller imambara domes can be seen from a distance and attract individuals from far away. Chota Imambara has two tripolia gateways on the east and west. The place is also graced with a beautiful mosque inside it. Chota Imambara is the place where large drums were beaten to announce the hour of the day, which is also known as naubat. |
