| About | Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden cover 7.1 acres of land. It is a place for wildlife photographers and nature lovers. Sir Harcourt Butler, who is Governor of the State, came up with the concept of developing zoological gardens in Lucknow. The Zoological Garden has 463 mammals, 298 birds and 72 reptiles representing 97 species. Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden is one of only two zoos to display an orangutan in India. It is well-known for the Rail, a zoo and paddleboat toy train that allows visitors to recreate when viewing the animals. Lots of science and physics practical-based activity is there to attract tourists. |
