| About | Sri Kokilambigai Vudanurai Sri Thirukameswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Lord Shiva. The temple is 1000 years old and a famous ancient temple in Pondicherry. It is located in the heart of Villianur. History says that Chola King Dharmabala Chozhan ruling Kamalapuri created a town here, a forest earlier, constructed a temple, and named "Vilwanallur". The temple has six poojas daily from 6 am to 8:30 pm. The temples prime festival is Brahmotsavam, during the Tamil month of Aadi. |
