| About | The Kamloops Heritage Railway Society is a charitable organization registered under the Societies Act. It is one of the Kamloops Heritage Railway's Railtours and Special Events Trains. On behalf of the City of Kamloops, it has the authority to operate the steam engine 2141, the "Spirit of Kamloops," for the general public. Any profits that the company earns through the operation of scheduled rail tour programs will go towards maintenance. The locomotive sat 33 years on exhibit in the park, which is operated by the city. The KHR strongly relies on volunteers to support the equipment and run the rail tour program. Their volunteers will spend almost an hour to show and tell the story and history of trains. |
