| About | Anderson Park is one of the largest of Townsville's botanic gardens. It is a 20-hectare arboretum that has a collection of garden displays. The park was named after William Anderson, City of Townsville's first Curator of Parks, from 1878 to 1934. It has specimens of tropical trees, palms and Pandanus. It also has a collection of Cape York Peninsula rainforest specimens is displayed along with native plants. The garden areas are labelled with different names and countries, with different plants. Anderson Park has Tables and chairs to take a rest and enjoy nature. |
