About	Archer Park Rail Museum is located in Rockhampton, QLD. It was the main railway station in Rockhampton from the turn of the century until the mid-1920s and was an important factor in the growth of the railway system in Queensland. The museum takes a look at the 1930s in Rockhampton and Central Queensland. The railway refreshment room and static displays in the museum offered a glimpse of the past period when rail was the predominant mode of transport. Section cars, carts and rail tractors help you learn the life of a railway fettler. The Museum has a large amount of interesting rail exhibits & memorabilia, including a C17 Steam Engine, Diesel Engine 1614, heritage rail carriages from 1903 & 1921 and an amazing soundscape that brings the period of the 1930's railways to life. The Purrey Steam Tram is considered to be the only operational Purrey Steam Tram in the world. (Entry Fee Applies).
