AboutShepparton Heritage Centre Museum was founded in 1962. The Heritage Centre is situated in the Historic Precinct of Shepparton in the former hub of the town, which was gazetted and acknowledged as a settlement over 150 years ago. They feature regular exhibition openings mentioned elsewhere and hold monthly cultural meetings that combine social and administrative activities. You can see the baronial chair from the 16th century, a wedding dress from 1860, a colonial four-poster bed and the restored clock from their post office in 1882. The collection of heritage includes around 9,000 objects, as well as ephemera. It has more than 4,000 items in documents, including letters, maps, studies, and journals. The collection encompasses most of the historical themes that relate to the history of a large rural town.
