About | Sushi Sasabune is a Japanese eatery that offers sushi & elaborately prepared omakase multicourse meals in a simple space. It was first opened in 1997 by their Chef and owner Seiji Kumagawa to bring an authentic 'Omakase' style sushi experience to Hawaii. Sushi Sasabune aims to create a sushi experience like never before and using as much local Hawaiian fish and produce as possible to create a unique 'Hawaii-man' sushi style. The restaurant specializes in nigiri made from cold fish and spicy sushi rice. Sushi Sasabune strives to highlight the full amount of local seafood in Hawaii. Their 'Omakase' is built to be versatile and exclusive to each customer, as there is no set price or fixed choice choices. They feature a meal between 13 and 14 courses, usually between 100 and 150 per person. Every course is ready to be eaten as is, dressed already, and seasoned appropriately. |
