About	Ascarate Park is the most extensive public-use recreational park in El Paso. It is dedicated to sports, fishing, picnicking, and other recreational activities. The park has over a 48-acre surface lake, a fully-equipped aquatic centre, a lakeside boardwalk, playgrounds, and picnic facilities. Ascarate Park has ample parking areas. It has a large open region to run, sit, relax, three playgrounds for the kids, large lakes for fishing, a running trail, and plenty of picnic tables with grills and decent parking. There was a big jungle gym for the kids. There was plenty of table and benches for the visitors to use for a picnic area.
