About	Hornets Nest Park is a 140-acre urban park located in Charlotte. It is an ideal place for kids and families. The park has recreational facilities, including sand volleyball courts, four lighted tournament softball complexes, a BMX bicycle track, basketball courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, a lake with a fishing pier, lighted tennis courts, horseshoe pits, eight picnic shelters, and a concession stand. Hornets Nest Park enhances biodiversity, improves ecological health, and increases nature access. It is a great park and a nice paved walking trail throughout the park, with two playground areas for the kids and a pond to fish trout in the evening.
