About	Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is one of the most extensive national collections of minerals worldwide. It is consistently rated as one of the world's top ten zoological parks because of its innovative approach to understanding the whole of natural history. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, aquarium, natural history museum, botanical garden, and art gallery--all in one place. The Museum contains 230 types of animals in a zoo with a famous Alibris aviary, 56,000 plants in the botanic gardens, a museum of natural history. The art institute's exhibition features more than 70 pieces, ranging from aquarelle to photography to weaving. It includes wildlife in a natural environment such as coyotes, bears, mountain lions, and two aviaries. It has over 230 species of wildlife, 1200 species of plants, and 21 acres with two miles of walking trails. It offers free access to children (under 3).
