About	Sacramento Zoo is a nonprofit organization officially accredited by the American Zoos and Aquariums Association. It was opened to the public in 1927. The Zoo aims to promote love, reverence, and a connection with wildlife and nature through education, leisure, and conservation. The 4.2-acre Zoo housed a collection of 40 species, including monkeys, raccoons, birds, deers, and other small animals. Visitors can enjoy birthday parties with kids. Nearly 4,000 wild species, including snow leopards and red pandas, are available. It provides five-day camps and one-day career classes with practical experience. The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation. Sacramento Zoo affords complimentary admission for children ages one and under.
