About | San Jacinto Museum of History is a museum and monument located in La Porte, TX. It is situated at the site of the decisive battle for Texas Independence. The monument is at the 220-ton star that commemorates the site of the Battle of San Jacinto. Visitors can also explore the battlegrounds and were able to walk close to the battleship. The top floor is so high, so you could directly see the battleship. There are some wonderful artifacts in the museum from some of Texas's founding fathers. The Museum has a great collection of displays of how the battle took place and the key players. You can enjoy the gift shop with various books about history. |
