About | Nashville Zoo At Grassmere is a progressive and diverse zoological park serving Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky. The zoo was middle Tennessee's top paid attraction and contained 6,230 individual animals, encompassing 339 species. The zoo's site is approximately 188 acres in size. It has more than three-quarters of a million visitors coming annually to Nashville Zoo, making them the number one destination in Middle Tennessee. Zoo provides a variety of species living along shaded paths in perfectly natural outdoor environments. Guests can see tiger keepers and interactive exhibits to engage tourists and teach them about tiger conservation. It offers ten fun summer camp weeks for young people aged 4 to 18, including special camps tailored to children with special needs and even potential veterinarians. A Wild Animal Carousel, animal exhibits, and a massive Jungle Gym playground for kids of all ages are also available. Nashville Zoo free admission for children age two and under. |
