About | Montgomery Zoo is located in the heart of the state capitol and historic district Montgomery. The zoo has more than 500 animals from five continents, all housed in barrier-free natural habitats. It occupies over 40 perfectly landscaped acres and provides a superb view of rare animals and endangered species. While visiting the zoo, don't forget to visit the Mann Museum. It is home to over 275 nature habitats, including fresh, and saltwater fish, birds, and insects in North America. It also houses over 70 exhibits mounted on a life-size scale. The museum exhibits are unique in that, with special conditions, the visitor can observe the exhibition from three directions. Visitors can also explore the natural sounds of the various North American animals. Montgomery Zoo offers free admission for Montgomery Zoo members and Toddlers (2 years old or younger). |
