About	Long Beach Museum of Art was founded in 1950, and it is one of the oldest educational institutions in Long Beach. The museum's permanent collection includes over 4,000 paintings and sketches in the museum's coveted permanent collection. It has 300 years of pottery, early 20th-century European sculpture, California Modernism, and California modern art. Long Beach Museum of Art is a historical site containing the house, carriage house Elizabeth Milbank Anderson (constructed in 1911), and a pavilion with two floors of unique gallery space to alter exhibits. It offers extensive educational programs for children and adults, musical programs, festivals, and other special events. LBMA also includes a historic home, spacious rooms, parks, dining on the oceanfront. Long Beach Museum offers free admission for its members.
