| About | Honolulu Zoo is 42.5 acres within the Kapiolani Regional Park. The animal population comprises more than 64 reptiles, 38 mammals, and 160 bird species. The 42-acre plant is divided into three tropical ecological zones. The highlights include the latest $12-million, 1.5-acre Asian Tropical Elephant Center, which features a 7.260-square-foot storage area and two 55,000-gallon ponds.
