| About | Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is one of the largest art museums in the United States. It has more than 60,000 words that form a global collection of human imagination from ancient times to the 21st Century. The museum's goal is to allow all tourists to find personal significance in art. The museum occupies 658,000 square feet and contains more than 100 galleries, an auditorium with 1,150 seats, a lecture/recital hall with 380 seats, an art reference library, and a state-of-the-art research laboratory. The collection is known for its quality, range, and depth. You can get a complimentary guided tour of the Detroit Institute of the Arts collection.
