| About | Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden is located in the middle of Des Moines. It provides an everlasting visitor experience through progressive architecture, creative programs, and diverse exhibits. In imaginative spaces built to discover, illustrate, and enjoy the beauty of the plant environment, the conservatory has over 1,200 separate taxa from around the globe. The garden will display vibrant annual color schemes based around creative themes influenced by music, literature, fashion, and pop culture, using plants as the exhibition ingredients. The renovated indoor spaces, including the expansive DuPont Room and two smaller spaces in the North Gallery, allow guests to enjoy the tropics during Iowa’s weather extremes and see garden-inspired art. Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden offers free admission for children under age 3. |
