About | Maryland Zoo is a non-profit organization committed to bringing people to the beauty of their world of the living. The zoo was developed with the mission to inspire and educate people. The Baltimore Zoo — is a 135-acre park located in historic Druid Hill Park in the northwestern area of the City of Baltimore, Maryland. It is residence to over 80 African Penguins and manages North America's biggest and most active African Penguin breeding colony. Visitors can view polar bears on one side, and grizzly bears on the other side. They have teams of dedicated keepers who monitor polar bears' behavior and provide them with training and enrichment. It offers half-price admission to the Maryland Zoo members in spring and winter. They have about 60 different species, from penguins to rodents and snakes.
