About	'Austin Zoo' is a privately managed, non-profit zoo which has a mission to assist animals in need through rehabilitation, rescue, and education. The Zoo has around 300 animals, which represent more than 100 different species. Visitors can enjoy the Picnic Grove surrounding the concession trailer and are welcome to bring in their own food and drink. The Zoo provides one-week day camps during the summer tailored for children ages 5. 12. This is a friendly zoo located at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, where visitors from all over the world can come to experience the animal's close-up, spend time outdoors getting exercise, and having fun. It affords free parking.
