About	Augusta Museum of History is founded in 1937 to preserve, collect, and interpret history concerning Augusta's past. The museum curates the largest and most important historical collection in the CSRA and celebrations as historical research. It is also home to Augusta's Story's permanent exhibition, a 12,000-year journey during the region's past. It is also a resource center for professional historians, media, individuals, and organizations. The museum also hosts a permanent exhibition on the history of healthcare in Augusta. Augusta Museum of History offers four indoor venues for weddings, non-profit and corporate events, and social functions. The museum affords free admission for children age two and under.
