About	Dr. Andrew E. Sloan is a board-certified neurosurgeon and educator at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and UH Seidman Cancer Center. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1990 and finished his internship in general surgery and neurosurgical residency at UCLA and a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Andrew is an expert in performing lumbar fusion surgery, herniated disc surgery, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunt procedures. His clinical and research interests focus on the biology and treatment of tumors of the spine and brain. He has authored over 135 publications in peer-reviewed journals and many editorials, reviews, and book chapters, made more than 525 invited presentations. His peers have known him as one of the "Best Doctors in America" and as one of the "Top Surgeons in America."
