He finished his residencies at University Hospital, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He has been in practice for over 20 years. He practices at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. He has special clinical interests include autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dr. Max is a Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He has authored or co-authored 11 textbook chapters and approximately 70 scientific papers in leading medical journals. He is a reviewer for Neurology, Pediatric Neurology, Journal of Child Neurology, Pediatrics, Lancet Neurology, and Brain and serves on numerous editorial boards.
