| About | Thoroughgood House is one of the oldest surviving colonial homes in Virginia Beach and is a National Historic Landmark. The Thoroughgood House sits on the west branch of the river Lynnhaven, founded about 1719 by Argall Thorowgood, the great-grandfather of adam Thorogood. It gives tourists the chance to step back in time and learn stories about challenges and rewards, expanding equity concepts and family and group connections.
