About	The Stephen Hopkins House is the oldest still standing in Providence. The 8-room house full of antiques and Hopkins heirlooms combines the bedchamber where George Washington relaxed, as well as a slaves’ room and gallery currently displaying a collection of 18th-century samplers. The Stephen Hopkins House played host to such luminaries as George Washington in 1776, on one of his four voyages to Providence.
