About | 'Oklahoma State Capitol' is the house of government of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The Greco-Roman building was surmounted by a dome and houses murals and paintings from the past of Oklahoma. The design is Greco-Roman, and the structure consists of 650 rooms and 11 acres of floor space with walls, preserved stained glass, plaza tribal flag, and exhibits of evolving art. It has over 100 acres in NE Oklahoma City, and the Oklahoma Capitol is the only place in the world surrounded by wells of working oil; it is integrated with the building's original design plans. Four walls show the scenes of the battles of the First World War, the Second World War, Korea, and Vietnam, along with a bronze statue. They also give self-guided tours. |
