AboutHermann-Grima House is one of the best-known examples of Federal-style architecture in the French Quarter. The buildings included more than 3000 decorative art objects, including sculptures, furniture, and other artifacts. The home has one of the few working open-hearth kitchens in the state, and from October through May, they provide cooking in the kitchen twice a month on Thursdays. The building also holds the only remaining original and intact stable remaining in the French Quarter. This house and adjacent outbuildings take tourists back in time to learn about this busy home from the 19th century, its wealthy owners, and the enslaved people who worked on the farm. Hermann-Grima House conducts two week-long camps for children during the summer and a specialized field during the holidays.
