AboutMuseum of American Speed is a non-profit museum founded in 1992 by Joyce Smith and "Speedy" Bill. The Museum is housed in a 135,000 square-foot facility. The Smith Collection Museum of American Speed is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and displaying physical items significant in racing and automotive history. The extensive collection results from the Smiths' participation in racing and hot rodding for more than six decades and their lifelong passion for collecting and conserving history. The Museum includes racing vehicles dating from the 1920s to recent vintage Indy Cars, Go-karts, motorized toys, classic midget cars, antique and rare cars, automotive memorabilia, and Buck Rogers memorabilia, as well as autographed guitars.
