The museum is a tribute to the architecture and hospitality of gothic Victorians. The museum contains a 16-room Victorian mansion of Thomas Richard Meux. The house's exterior uses columns, cornices, string courses, corbels, scrolls, fans, stained and cut glass. All lighting fixtures are great examples of effective gas light systems during the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries. You can enjoy the house's guided tour and walk through the beautiful garden. Visitors can take trips from 45 minutes to 1 hour and see all the finest artwork, architecture, and more from the Victorian era. It affords children four and under are free. |
