About	Almaden Quicksilver Park is spectacular in natural diversity and a landmark of California history. The spot has been mining operations for over 135 years. The park spans 4,163 acres and occupies a portion of Capitancillos Mountain. It has more than 37 miles of hiking trails in the park, including 30 miles of equestrian trails and 16.6 miles of bike trails. All the park trails are also open to pet owners walking their dogs on leash. A variety of picnic tables are located next to the park trails, and horse water troughs can be found in a few places. The park features one of the region's most impressive wildflower displays. With over 4,000 acres of land, the park attracts all kinds of hikers and outdoor lovers. Nature walks and history tours are available on request.
