| About | Mississippi Gorge Regional Park is a 132-hectare park flanking the Mississippi River's eastern and western sides. The Mississippi River Gorge area has plenty to bring to tourists during the year. Tourists can imagine the savanna culture of 36th Street oaks before the European-American settlement. It has a river and is perfect for all levels of ability. The park has visitors for Hiking and photography. The Prairie area is scattered with oak trees providing biking, hiking trails, picnic shelters, and fishing. Visitors can hike the Winchell Trail, which runs along the Mississippi River's west side between Franklin Avenue and 44th Street. There is plenty of space to explore the forest, river, and rocks. |
