| About | Fort Dickerson Park Trail is a 1,000-acre city park with hiking trails and Civil War sites. The park has historical significance as a well-preserved fort from the Civil War era and contains several spots for a picnic area. It has informational displays that explain the importance of the fort and the original design and construction. The quarry view is connected via a 4-mile natural footpath that winds through the forest and skirts around the quarry. The Backroads connect mountain bikers to Knoxville's Urban Wilderness. Fort Dickerson Park Trail has interpretive panels, replica cannons, picnic tables, and a covered pavilion. |
