AboutFox Island County Park is a 605-acre park in the southwest. It's 270 acres devoted to the nature protection of the state within this park. Hundreds of animal and plant species live on Fox Island because of its relatively natural state of most areas, with its marsh ecosystems and seasonal ponds. The park holds the name of county's largest surrounding forest and a glacial dune. Seven miles of footpaths through nature preserve allow visitors to enjoy the park's beauty and splendor. Cross-country skiing is possible over six miles during the winter, as long as they have four or more inches of a snowflake on the area. Plenty of space on the trails is available if you are interested in running. Fox Island County Park is a great place to spend hours with the kids hiking on well-groomed trails.
