About	Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a city park covering 1,474 acres in Colorado Springs. Its mission is to enhance the recreational, educational, and interpretive programs of the park. It has a series of winding trails through red rock canyons and ridges and also has fantastic views of the Colorado Front Range. The trails are extensive and generally remain on top of the mesa, making them cold and sunny for winter walks. Off-leash dogs have two loops. Park has spectacular views and protected enclosures for inspiration, varied recreational scenery, and an informative 240 million year slice of sedimentary geology. Red rocks have about eighty technical climbing routes.
