| About | La Luz Trailhead is one of the most popular path trails in Albuquerque. An eight-mile trail begins at La Luz Trailhead and reaches an elevation of more than 3,500 feet. The mildly trafficked 2.3-mile trail loops below a canopy of cottonwood trees. The path leads from the hot desert landscape to the cool Canadian forest, one way for 7.5 miles. The increase in elevation is 3,200 feet vertical. Visitors can take plenty of water and high-energy food and spend plenty of time for themselves. You can see the magnificent trees rising in the middle of the hike like ponderosa pine. You can experience the great views of Albuquerque. |
