| About | East Lake Golf Club's main features are 18 holes, Par 72, length 6886 yards at the slope 137. Tom Bendelow was the original course architect of the course; however, in 1913, the course was edited by the classicist Donald Ross, whose method persists in the original design now. In 1994, Rees Jones, offspring of the famous golf course designer Robert Trent Jones, supplanted Donald Ross's unique golf course design at East Lake to its modern layout. Over the years, the golf course has arranged several golf competitions, including the 1950 U.S Women's Amateur, 1963 Ryder Cup, and 2001 U.S. Men's Amateur. East Lake Golf Club course is now the permanent residence of the TOUR Championship, the culminating event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup. |
